Welcome! I'm currently serving in Belfast, Northern Ireland as a Young Adult Volunteer with the Presbyterian Church (USA). This site is designed to keep friends and family informed of my activities and experiences. I'll be posting entries occasionally, with pictures where appropriate. Thanks for visiting, and enjoy!

hello Chris
I learned about your blog from Riverside Presbyterian Church newsletter. I spent 2 weeks in Belfast in 2003 building a house for Habitat for Hummanity in Ligoneil. I have fond memories of the people, some who are passionate about peace, some who tenetatively hope for peace, and some who have lost hope. Know that you have the prayers and support of someone like me, someone you don't know, but who shares in the hope for peace for the people of Northern Ireland.

Hey Chris. I guess you are still over there. We wish you luck. I am researching my husband's Fulton ancestors and Looney ancestors (also spelled Loughney and Loney). I was told several of these Fultons are buried in the Presbyterian churchyard in Ligoneil. Is this where you are serving? If so, I would be interested in our relatives in that cemetery if you don't mind. Is there only one Presbyterian church in Ligoneil? Good luck.
